Food for Fines
The library is collecting food in exchange for fines on books. The
deadline for Thanksgiving donations is November 20, but donations will
be accepted until Christmas. All donations will be delivered to the
Saugus Food Bank. Please bring nonperishable items such as canned tuna, soups, vegetables and pasta to the circulation desk at the library. Cash donations are also welcome. Don’t forget to check the expiration date!

Book Sale
There are still some bargains to be had at the library book sale, which is continuing due to popular demand. The Friends of the Saugus Public Library would like to thank all those who supported this successful fundraiser with their generous donations, and of course the shoppers who continue to stop by. Happy Reading!

Books online.
At the library website www.noblenet.org/saugus you will find books to download to your Ipod and books to read online.
To download a book to your Ipod or to burn to a CD click on the Download Audiobooks icon. To browse the selection of books you can read online, click on the Library Online link. Netlibrary offers 3300 books on a wide variety of subjects from the Idiot’s Guide series to books on resume writing & job interviewing.

There will be a Toddler Storytime, “Potty Time”, on Thursday, November 12th at 10:30 AM.

There will be a Preschool Storytime, “Pizza Time”, on Thursday, November 12th at 11:30 AM. Join us for songs, stories, and a craft.

Picture Book Time is held on Tuesday afternoons at 3 PM. Children of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy the stories!

Did you know that you can borrow magazines at the public library? In the children’s room, back issues of several magazines, including Ranger
Rick, Highlights, National Geographic for Kids, Animal Baby, Jack &
Jill, Cricket, and Pack-o-Fun, are available to check out.

Do you have any LEGOs that you no longer use? The Saugus Public Library is accepting donations of LEGOs in preparation for a future program series for children. We would appreciate both large and small donations of LEGOs!

Do you know the five food groups? What are the best kinds of food to
eat? For the answers to these questions and more, take a look at a display of books about nutrition in the children’s room during the week of November 9-14.
