Course Description
A one-term survey of music history with a primary focus on music of the Western world. The course progresses chronologically from ancient music to the music of today, exploring along the way the religious, social, historical, and human issues surrounding music and its composition. Prerequisite: Music 200 or a bypass of Music 200 on the basis of performance on the music placement test.
