Definition

.An experiment when the words are partially re-presented. Just like with perceptual identification and spelling bias, when you are engaged before hand in a mental process, you are more likely to repeat those same processes.

Significance

.word stem completions ask you to complete each word stem to create the first word that comes to mind. It is also possible in this experiment that you are primed to respond with a given word. This can be done by showing a participant a certain word somehow beforehand, and then in the experiment, showing then the first few letters of the previously presented word, hoping they will be more likely to finish with the word they saw before.
