== Experiment Summary == Thee were three phases in the experiement. In phase I, you would see a list of 44 word pairs. The first word (cue) would appear in lower case letters, and the second word (target) would appear in upper case letters. In phase II, 44 word pairs would appear again, first word (cue) in lower case and target word would have two missing letters (D__T, B__T, L__N). The task was to fill in the two letters to make a word. In phase III, 44 word pairs would appear one last time, just as they had in phase I.. If you had remembered seeing the word pairs before, you should type "y" for yes , and "no" if you did not. == Independent Variable(s) == The independent variable was whether the cue word was the same or different from phase II and phase III.

== Dependent Measure(s) == The percentage of times you said you remembered a word.

== Expected Results == There should have been more accuracy in remembering the key word when the cue was the same between the second part and third part, than if it was not. It was easier to forget the target word.

== Theoretical Significance == The significance of the experiment is that it helped to improve our ability to make certain judgements by using our memory. This is an important experiment as it can help us recover memories that have happened to us years ago. This type of task can easily be used for patients who have Alzheimers.
