Research Options for Kids
Britannica School Edition
A premiere encyclopedia and suite of reference sources, including an atlas, historical timelines, country data and a quotation database. In addition, Britannica Online offers access to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary & Thesaurus and up-to-the-minute information from the New York Times, BBC News, and SBS World News from Australia.

Kids Search
Kids Search is a colorful interface that’s designed for students K-8, and for teachers. It searches the Primary Search database, Middle Search Plus, a children’s dictionary and encyclopedia, Newspaper Source, and a collection of images. Some results include Lexile ratings of reading difficulty. Searchasaurus
