Welcome Michaela!


Michaela Keating, Instruction/Liaison Librarian for Scholarly Communication

Please join the library staff in welcoming our newest member, Michaela Keating, to campus!

Michaela began working at McQuade Library on July 1 as the Instruction/Liaison Librarian for Scholarly Communication.  In this capacity, she will be overseeing the library’s digital repository, Merrimack ScholarWorks.  She will also be working closely with students, faculty, and staff while teaching library workshops and staffing the Research Center.

1. What is your favorite movie?
It’s a tie between John Carpenter’s The Thing and Jaws

2. What is the last great book you read?
Neil Gaiman’s Anansi Boys

3. What is the song you play most often?
Overkill by Motörhead

4. What is one thing that may surprise your colleagues?
I’m pretty sure the Motörhead just gave it away, but my go-to music genre is metal (especially doom metal).

5. When are you in the Research Center?
Sunday 2pm-10pm, Monday-Thursday 11am-6pm
