In observance of the Day of Silence, an annual event held across the country with the purpose of calling “attention to anti-LGBT name calling, bullying, and harassment in schools,” a display of LGBTQ library resources has been set up in the main entry way.
In addition, a new LibGuide highlighting the library’s physical and electronic LGBTQ resources and the college’s Safe Zone program is available: LGBTQ Resources.
This year’s Day of Silence is Friday April 19. Merrimack College will be observing the day with activities on Wednesday April 17:
- 5pm-6pm: Silent Demonstration in Honor of the Day of Silence – Sak Patio
- 6pm-6:30pm: Breaking the Silence Ceremony – Sak Patio
